    We found Ernesta through and Instagram ad and really liked their selection and ability to customized. The rug arrived neatly wrapped along with the rub pad securely rolled on the outside. It was easy to unroll them both. The color and texture of our sisal rug are perfect for our living room.

    Is it possible to get matching stair treads? (roughly 8"-9" by 24"-27")

    Hi Pgolay! Unfortunately, due to the custom nature of our rugs, we cannot guarantee that each piece will be the exact same size. The dimensions you are interested in also fall below our minimum size threshold.

    Do the edges of this rug curl up? (I can't use rug tape.)

    Hi Karen, our rugs are stored on rolls, so they have a tendency to retain shape for the first few weeks. This is normal and the rug will lie flat eventually, however, we do recommend helping "retrain" the fibers to remain flat more quickly, like folding them the opposite direction or laying books on top of them. Larger rugs tend to relax more quickly than smaller rugs, and an attached rug pad can help the rug lay flat more quickly. Please reach out to us at help@ernesta.com for more information!

    Interested in Calpurnia 6x9. Do I need a rug pad? Rather not have one. Does rug look the same as the top?

    Hi Auri, we recommend a rug pad as it will help elongate the lifespan of your rug, hold it in place, and provide extra cushion, among other benefits. The rug should be represented by the images on this webpage, but you can also order a sample to see it in person!

    Hi Hannah, the latex backing on our Calpurnia style is non-skid and will keep your rug from sliding, so the pad in your instance would be for the added cushion.
