Not for use in high-moisture environments, as exposure to water can stain natural fibers. Blot liquids immediately with clean cloth and avoid liquid cleaners.

    We just received our Enesta rug for our living room. Unlike our old rug, Lily is soft, serged along the edges, tightly braided, the underside is backed and the natural fiber is shed resistant. The braided pattern adds texture and the color, nutmeg adds warmth to the room. Thank you Ernesta for a beautiful rug!

    Family room rug

    We got this rug for a high-traffic family room area adjacent to our kitchen, frequented by our large dog. So far, we are very pleased with the precise dimensions and workmanship. It is a bit brighter than we expected - but it still looks good. Will probably buy another one for a different room.

    Question

    Over time and with vacuuming, will the natural fibers start to fray? I want to keep it looking neat, new and tight, and not sure if the vacuuming it will cause tiny breaks or splinters in the fibers in the long run. Plan to use for bedroom, so not a ton of traffic and mostly barefooted use. Thanks.

    Hi Carlene! The Lily is a more relaxed sisal that will hold it's structure nicely, and will not shed excessively. We would recommend light vacuuming with a canister vacuum to avoid damaging this rug.

    Is the rug treated with any chemicals? Any flame retardants or stain proofing?

    Hi Kevin, we do not treat any of our rugs with any chemicals, or coating. We actually do not recommend the use of any type of stain protectants as this can compromise the integrity of the rug.

    Question

    We are looking at purchasing two of the Lily rugs and want to know if the pattern is obvious. For example, we are ordering one Lily for our entry which is 5 feet 7 inches wide and 12 feet 9 inches long. We want any visible lines to be running along the length of the rug and not the width. It's difficult to tell from the sample and website photos if there is an obvious pattern. Please advise.

    Hi Kay, while there isn't an obvious pattern, there is braiding that is directional on this style. You can control the directionality of the stripes by entering the measurement on either width or length. For your 5x7 rug, that would mean having 7 ft as the length and 5 ft as the width, ensuring the braids run vertically.
