    We are really pleased with our stair runner. It looks exactly like real sisal but is soft underfoot. Not hard yo install.

    Do y’all recommend the Virginia Mae for a staircase runner?

    Yes. Virginia Mae is made from outdoor fibers and a flatweave construction, so it is great for high traffic. The thinner pile should make it easier to install as well. We recommend you show a sample to your installer before you place your order!

While a rug pad isn't required, it helps ensure the rug will lay flat, provides extra cushion, and will help ensure the longevity of your rug. For those reasons, we highly recommend opting for a rug pad.
