A fresh take on a decorating classic, Arlo brings a new, subtle dimension to our line of Classic Sisals.

Tightly woven in a weft-faced flatweave, Arlo has the texture of a handwoven basket. Beautiful subtly heathered fibers, make this style complementary to a broad range of color schemes.


Please note: Arlo is a natural fiber product woven on a traditional beam loom. As a result, some organic variation can occur in the weave of this style, resulting in a weft that is not entirely straight. The edges of the rug will, however, be straight. This variation is visible in the detail shots of our Ash and Driftwood colorways.

Not for use in high-moisture environments, as exposure to water can stain natural fibers. Blot liquids immediately with clean cloth and avoid liquid cleaners.

    Best looking rugs I ever purchased.

    Do you need a rug pad with Argo. And is driftwood a taupe color?

    Hi Jean, Arlo is a cool taupe color, but we recommend ordering samples to see it in the lighting in your space. We recommend a rug pad as it will help with cushioning and extend the lifespan of your rug.

    Question

    How soft is Arlo under foot? Is it very scratchy? I know it's not wooly and soft, but don't want scratchy! Also, does it need a pad? The space I have is small, with a closet door that needs to be able to go over it. I love the look of this rug but am afraid it won't work.

    Answer
    Regarding the closet door, we recommend ordering a sample to test this out in the home. It has a 0.38" pile height, so you can also measure under your door if you would prefer not to order a sample. Arlo is a sisal, which is not a soft texture. If the concern is underfoot feel, then we recommend a wool, or a different natural fiber, like a jute rug. Lily is a crowd favorite for a softer natural fiber!
